World Cup semifinals set

The World Cup soccer tournament is down to its final four teams following this weekend’s quarterfinal matches. On Friday, France defeated Uruguay 2-0 and Belgium edged Brazil 2-1. On Saturday England shut out Sweden 2-0 while Croatia advanced in dramatic fashion, winning in a penalty kick shootout against the host team Russia. “Of course there’s power left for the English,” Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic said of his team’s upcoming semifinal match in Moscow Wednesday against England. “We don’t want to stop. We want to play our best game then.” France will face Belgium Tuesday in St. Petersburg in the other semifinal. The two semifinal winners will meet Sunday in the finals to decide who is the 2018 World Cup champion.
