Warriors sweep Cavaliers in NBA Finals

The Golden State Warriors defeated Cleveland Friday night to sweep the Cavaliers in four games and capture their third NBA championship in four years. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 37 points, with finals MVP Kevin Durant adding 20 in the 108-85 victory at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena. “Looking at this playoff journey, we knew it wasn’t going to be as easy as last year,” Curry said. “Then the challenges that faced us. In October we wanted to be back in this moment, and a lot went into it. It’s a great feeling to be back here.” Cleveland star LeBron James said Friday he injured himself in frustration after losing Game 1. “I let the emotions get the best of me,” he said. “Pretty much played the last three games with a broken hand, so that’s what it is.” James scored 23 points in Game 4 and spent the last few minutes of the fourth quarter on the bench.
