Three Taylor Swift shows in Austria canceled over suspected terrorist plot

Officials in Vienna confirmed that there was a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, according to oeticket.com on Wednesday. As such, the venue canceled her three shows, which were scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Ticket purchasers would receive refunds within 10 business days, Swift’s website said.

What did this terrorist threat entail? Austrian police arrested two individuals on Wednesday, according to the BBC. Police on Wednesday confirmed that they conducted a raid connected to terrorist threats against Taylor Swift’s concerts. Authorities promised to increase security precautions at other public events at the stadium and the surrounding area, and that officers would remain on alert against other terrorist threats.
