Listen to The World and Everything in It this weekend ... and all next week
WORLD's weekly radio news magazine, The World and Everything in It, now airs on more than 250 radio stations across the country. Be sure to check out our station list to find out when and where TW&E airs this weekend near you.
We also have great alternative listening options: You can listen online, or download an mp3 file of the entire program or individual segments and take it with you to listen to wherever you go. Even better, subscribe to our free podcast via iTunes or our RSS feed and never miss another program. We're also available for your mobile device through the Stitcher and TuneIn Radio apps.
And here's programming note: Starting Monday WORLD News Group will produce for five straight days a special pilot program, a daily version of The World and Everything in It. On this weekend's program, WORLD Radio's senior producer Joseph Slife announced:
"Some of you have asked for a daily program, so we’re going to give it a test run. Among other things, we’re trying to gauge interest among radio stations and potential financial supporters, and we’re also trying to get a feel for what kind of person power it’s going to take to produce The World and Everything in It on a daily basis. So we figured as long as we’re experimenting, why not experiment in public. If we’re producing a few pilot programs anyway why not share them with you?
"These programs will not be on the radio, but you can listen online. Each of the daily half-hour programs will be available by 6 a.m. Eastern Time, and we’ll post them at worldandeverything.com. So if you want to, you can download, put a program on your mobile device, and listen on your way to work. And if you’re already subscribed to the weekly program via iTunes or RSS you don’t have to do anything. The daily pilot programs will post automatically.
"Again, this is for one week only, starting Monday, Oct. 8, a daily test run of The World and Everything in It. We hope you’ll listen and give us your feedback [feedback@worldandeverything.com]."
Meanwhile, here are some highlights from this weekend's program: First round of presidential debates, pro-life activists arrested in front of White House, Nobel Peace Prize, Book Nook, notable speech by Pat Caddell on the threat of media bias, Andrée Seu Peterson on the unkindest key, Libya, unemployment rate drops, The Olasky Interview with former White House adviser Claude Allen, Tyndale House files suit against HHS contraceptive mandate, new California law bans reparative therapy for minors struggling with same-sex attraction, Arsenio Orteza reviews new Bob Dylan album, The History Book, and more.
So while you're relaxing or doing chores this weekend, tune in to The World and Everything in It. "It's like NPR from a Christian worldview," writes Gospel Coalition blogger Trevin Wax.
And be sure to listen online or download our daily half-hour programs all next week.
