Kilmer’s daughter, Mercedes, told news outlets that the iconic actor passed away on Tuesday in Los Angeles from pneumonia after a years-long battle with throat cancer. Kilmer became known for his role as Tom "Iceman" Kazansky opposite Tom Cruise in the 1986 film Top Gun and the 2022 sequel, Top Gun: Maverick. He’s also well known for his role as Bruce Wayne and Batman in Joel Schumacher‘s 1995 Batman Forever, and Doc Holliday in the 1993 western Tombstone.
