Ukraine denies involvement in alleged drone attack on Kremlin


Russia on Wednesday said it downed two drones overnight that were targeting the Kremlin. Moscow called the alleged incident a “terrorist act” and claimed it was an attempt by Ukraine to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader was not in the Kremlin at the time of the incident, according to Russian state media. Ukrainian Presidential Adviser Mykhailo Podolyak said Ukraine was not involved in drone attacks at the Kremlin.

What else is happening in the war? Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday visited Helsinki, Finland, for a one-day summit. He met with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö and the prime ministers of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The leaders discussed support for Ukraine and Zelenskyy called for his country to be made a NATO member.
