Erika Kirk, the widow of murdered conservative activist Charlie Kirk, will succeed her late husband as CEO of Turning Point USA, the organization’s board announced on Thursday. The unanimous decision was in line with wishes Charlie Kirk expressed before his death, according to the board.
The organization said on Tuesday that it received more than 54,000 requests from high school and college students for new TPUSA chapters or to be involved with existing ones in the days since Kirk’s assassination.
Erika is scheduled to give remarks on Sunday, alongside President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, at a remembrance event for her husband.
