White House launches Moms.gov for pregnancy resources
The Trump administration rolled out a website for new and expecting moms on Mother’s Day. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services published Moms.gov, offering resources for parents who face difficult or unexpected pregnancies. The site will equip families with information for building healthy lives, said Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
What information does the website feature?
The site lists a search tool allowing parents to find pregnancy centers in their area.
Another link connects parents with nearby Federally Qualified Health Centers.
It gives dietary guidelines for pregnant women, new mothers, and infants.
It encouraged parents to enroll their children in government tax-deferred investment accounts and find discount prescription medications on the TrumpRx website.
It also shared resources for preconception health, breastfeeding, and adoption.
What have pro-life organizations said about the site? National Right to Life praised the website for sending a message that abortion is not the only option for women facing difficult or unexpected pregnancies. The site offers life-affirming support to women, said Lila Rose, the president of Live Action. Mothers deserve hope, help, and real care, Rose added.
