Self-described evangelist removed from Alaska Airlines flight during message
A self-described evangelist who regularly preaches on planes claimed she was kicked off an Alaska Airlines flight mid-message. Whitney Lynn said airline officials removed her prior to takeoff of Alaska Airlines Flight 708 from Orlando to San Diego on July 30. She posted an array of videos detailing the incident to her more than 286,000 followers on Instagram and more than 103,000 on TikTok.
What has the airline said about the incident? Alaska Airlines said it removed Lynn for safety reasons, according to Florida Today. The flight’s crew members were increasingly concerned about the effect of Lynn’s behavior on the passengers, according to the airline. Lynn will not be permitted to fly on Alaska Airlines for the foreseeable future, the airline added.
WORLD reached out to Alaska Airlines for further comment but did not hear back prior to publication.
How does Lynn describe the deplaning? The evangelist preached on God’s perfect timing while the passengers were waiting to take off. A man who appeared to be an airline employee then told Lynn to exit the plane, stating that the crew did not feel safe with her on board. In her video, she told the man that she didn’t know the message of Jesus was unsafe. Lynn exited the plane and was later met by what appeared to be airport security. She described the incident as spiritual warfare.
Lynn has also shared videos of her preaching in other public locations, such as restaurants and stores. She often preaches on her flights, as fellow travelers have nowhere else to go, she previously told The Washington Post. She added that the travelers present during her messages have no choice but to hear the truth.
