Michael Brown admits emotional affair amid third-party investigation

The Messianic Jewish leader confessed the emotional affair in a Wednesday video in response to rumors about the third-party investigation recently launched by his ministry, The Line of Fire. The minister admitted to forming an inappropriate emotional tie with another married woman but insisted physical adultery never occurred. After Brown confessed the affair to both spouses and received forgiveness, both couples agreed to keep the incident private to avoid the additional pain of public humiliation, he said. Brown said he chose never to publicly discuss the incident out of respect for all involved, not because he had anything to hide.

So what does this have to do with the investigation? Brown repeatedly emphasized his aim for transparency and accountability for his actions amid the investigation. Brown’s video went live hours after The Roys Report reached out to Brown about additional allegations of inappropriate behavior with a woman other than the one who initially came forward, the outlet reported.

Did Brown make additional comments about the investigation? The apologist would not comment on specific allegations and planned for investigators to uncover the truth, according to the video. He did make an additional public apology to the anonymous woman known as “Erin” who made the claims that sparked the investigation. Brown never dreamed that Erin still felt pain years after he and his wife’s 2002 meeting, discussion, and apology to her, he said. Brown also asked forgiveness from his ministry, students, and missionaries for his failings and poor judgment.
