House subpoenas Hunter Biden, James Biden

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., on Wednesday issued subpoenas for President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, and the president's brother, James. House Republicans have been leading an impeachment inquiry into President Biden, alleging an improper connection to his son Hunter’s business dealings.

What does the new House speaker have to say about this? Mike Johnson has given his support to the impeachment inquiry and to subpoenaing Hunter. He told Fox News last month the step “perhaps is overdue.” Congressional Democrats have opposed the investigation into President Biden. Hunter currently faces three federal felony gun charges.
