House Republicans demand visitor log, details about classified docs

GOP representatives demanded Monday that the Justice Department turn over all the information related to its searches that recently uncovered classified documents in multiple unsecured locations at President Joe Biden’s home. One specific item they requested was the visitor’s log of everyone who set foot in the estate since Jan. 20, 2021. Rep. James Comer said Republicans’ objective in obtaining and reviewing all this information is to determine who had access to the documents and how they ended up in unsecured locations.

Will Republicans get this information? It will be difficult for them to obtain visitor logs. U.S. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said that while his agency maintains security at the president’s private residence, it does not keep a record of visitors. The White House has said Biden didn’t keep any records regarding who has visited his residence.
