Former Trump Organization CFO sentenced for perjury
Allen Weisselberg received a sentence of five months in jail on Wednesday, a little more than a month after pleading guilty to perjury charges. As the Trump Organization’s chief financial officer, Weisselberg committed fraud and misrepresentation in former President Donald Trump’s financial statements, including false statements about Trump’s Manhattan apartment, according to a court document.
Hasn’t he already served time in prison? Weisselberg also pleaded guilty in August 2022 to tax crimes and served roughly five months in prison then. He is 76 years old and will spend his five months behind bars in New York’s Rikers Island jail complex.
