A New York judge on Tuesday sentenced brothers Alon, Oren, and Tal Alexander to 30 years in prison each, after a jury in March convicted them of federal sex crimes. During the brothers’ crime spree from roughly 2008 to 2021, they assaulted and sometimes trafficked people—at least seven women and minors, according to the Justice Department. The brothers’ sentences also included 10-year terms of supervised release and fines from $300,000 to $350,000, according to the department.

The brothers worked together and with others to commit their crimes. They frequently used their social and financial connections as luxury real estate agents in New York and Florida to create opportunities for sexual assault, the Justice Department said. They enticed women to accompany them on private events and trips, and often used drugs to incapacitate their victims.

Other men participated in the Alexanders’ operations and assaults. However, the Justice Department didn’t say Tuesday if the other perpetrators had been arrested or prosecuted.
