A new Zogby poll finds 42 percent of Iowa Democrats want more candidates to jump into next January's caucuses, and Hillary Clinton may come calling. She is on the warpath against President Bush's economic policies, and next month she launches a massive nationwide media blitz to promote her new memoirs of life in the White House. After months of laying low, the junior senator from New York chose April 15 to fault "the last Bush tax-cut plan" for costing the country "2.6 million jobs." Two weeks later, she accused the president of "the most wrong-headed economic policies that we've seen since Herbert Hoover" before 1,500 cheering rank-and-file Democrats in Connecticut, the home turf of presidential candidate Sen. Joe Lieberman. She'll get more mileage out of the publicity from her book tour. Living History, for which Sen. Clinton earned an $8 million advance almost two years ago, goes on sale on June 9 and publisher Simon & Schuster is planning a first printing of 1 million copies. Mrs. Clinton's agent, Robert Barnett, said the book is "a complete and candid account." Skeptics abound and not all of them are Republicans: Late-night television funnymen David Letterman and Jay Leno have turned the memoir into a punchline.
