Clarence Thomas has agreed to the biggest book deal ever for a sitting Supreme Court Justice. HarperCollins will pay more than $1 million to publish the memoir in 2005. Mr. Thomas, who has already completed over 100 pages, will describe growing up in Pin Point, Ga., with a single mother as a black conservative during a bitter era of racial segregation and his rise to the high court.
