Trump, Biden win primary victories in most Super Tuesday states

President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump  dominated the polls on Super Tuesday, a milestone in the run-up to the U.S. presidential election that sees 15 states and one territory hold primaries on the same day.

As of Wednesday morning, the Associated Press had called most states for the two contenders.

What happened in the Republican primaries? As of Wednesday evening, Trump, the Republican front-runner, had clinched Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, the only major Republican candidate left to compete with Trump, likely has won Vermont, according to the Associated Press.

What about the Democratic primaries? Biden carried all fifteen states holding a presidential primary on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.
