Trump rally shooting victim speaks out after release from hospital
The Law Offices of Max C. Feldman on Wednesday issued a statement on behalf of David Dutch for the first time since he was released last month from Allegheny County General Hospital. A gunman shot Dutch, a 57-year-old Marine veteran, twice on July 13 while he was standing in the bleachers behind former President Donald Trump during a rally in Butler, Pa. Trump’s ear was grazed during the assassination attempt against the former president. In the statement obtained by Fox News, Dutch and his family thanked their family members, friends, and fellow Americans who have kept them in their prayers. He also thanked first responders and hospital staff who saved his life.
What else did the statement say? Dutch and his family said they were praying for the family of Corey Comperatore, who died while shielding his wife and daughters from the gunfire. Federal investigators are still trying to determine the shooter’s motive. In the release, Dutch asked for privacy as he recovers. Dutch and James Copenhaver, the 74-year-old who was also shot during the rally, have both retained attorneys with the law office.
