Trump proposes dates for presidential debates with Harris
Former President Donald Trump on Thursday told reporters he had agreed on three debate dates with Fox News, ABC, and NBC and said he hoped Vice President Kamala Harris would commit to them. Fox confirmed a Sept. 4 debate, ABC confirmed a Sept. 10 debate, and NBC confirmed a Sept. 25 debate. Details such as whether an audience would be present and locations still needed to be sorted out, Trump said in a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Vice President Kamala Harris, whom the Democratic National Convention certified as its presidential candidate earlier this week, earlier demanded that Trump debate her on Sept. 10, when he and President Joe Biden were scheduled to meet before Biden dropped out of the race.
Did Trump say anything else? Trump began by saying that the world was in danger of a sprawling conflict and that Democrats in the White House command little to no respect internationally. He also said that Democratic Party leaders stole the Oval Office from President Biden. He insisted he was not opposed to running against Harris, but emphasized that she was never voted president of the United States.
