Trump names White House chief of staff
President-elect Donald Trump named his campaign manager, Susan Wiles, as his White House chief of staff Thursday afternoon. In a statement, Trump said Wiles helped him achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history and called her an integral part of both his 2016 and 2020 campaigns. He characterized her as tough, smart, innovative, and universally admired and respected. Wiles will become the first-ever female White House chief of staff.
In addition to managing Trump’s previous campaigns, Wiles also ran Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ successful 2018 campaign, as well as Sen. Rick Scott’s campaign for Florida governor in 2010.
