Trump indictment says he revealed classified docs
A federal court in Florida unsealed a grand jury’s indictment of former President Donald Trump on Friday. The indictment alleges that the documents found in Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate contained information on the “defense and weapons capabilities” of the United States and other countries. The stored documents also included information on U.S. nuclear programs, plans for attack, and plans for potential retaliation in response to a foreign attack, according to the indictment. It also alleged that Trump showed classified documents about a plan of attack to people without the required security clearance. Trump said he was innocent and called the investigation a “witch hunt” on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Was anyone else implicated? The indictment names Trump’s former aide, Walt Nauta. It accuses him of lying about helping Trump move and store the boxes. Nauta has not commented, but Trump defended him on Truth Social.
