Trump frames election as fight for Christian values

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday attended the National Religious Broadcasters International Christian Media Convention in Nashville where he promised to defend Christianity against the “radical left.” Trump pledged to uphold religious liberty if reelected, as he claims he did during his first term in office. He said liberal politicians were trying to suppress Christian values and called on the audience to support him. “They want to tear down crosses where they can and cover them up with social justice flags,” Trump said during his speech. Tennessee is holding its primary election on March 5 with 15 other states as part of the Super Tuesday elections.

Haley has said she believes her campaign will gain steam this spring as Trump faces a series of legal battles, and she has promised to stay in the race no matter what happens over the weekend.
