Trump alleges that ABC News, George Stephanopoulos defamed him

Former President Donald Trump on Monday filed a lawsuit against ABC News in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The comments at issue occurred earlier in March on the ABC News show This Week with George Stephanopoulos. Trump alleges that Stephanopoulos defamed him while referencing a civil lawsuit brought by magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll against Trump.

How has ABC responded? WORLD contacted ABC News via its owner, the Walt Disney Company, and received the response: “ABC News has no comment.”
