Suspect in Idaho killings won’t fight extradition

Bryan Christopher Kohberger appeared in court in Pennsylvania on Tuesday as a formality before his extradition to Idaho. Police arrested Kohberger, 28, last week at his parents’ house in Pennsylvania on suspicion of killing four students at the University of Idaho. The chief public defender in Monroe County, Jason LaBar, said his client would waive his right to an extradition hearing. Labar added that Kohberger is eager to return to Idaho for what he says will be his exoneration.

Who is Kohberger? He is a graduate student and teacher’s assistant in criminology at Washington State University, which is only a short drive from the University of Idaho. Law enforcement officials said they were able to match Kohberger’s DNA to genetic material found in the investigation. “We believe we’ve got our man,” said Moscow Police Capt. Anthony Dahlinger.
