Southwest cancels more flights, strands travelers
Southwest Airlines canceled 2,500 more flights on Wednesday, bringing their total number of canceled flights for the week to nearly 10,000. Travelers have had to seek transportation through other means—such as trains or rental cars—or had to simply give up on travel plans.

On Tuesday, CEO Robert Jordan apologized for the cancellations and said that his company would “double down” on its efforts to improve its flight arrangement system. He added that the company hoped to have its system back on track before next week.
