Senate Democrats block infanticide prevention bill

WASHINGTON—Senate Democrats on Monday night blocked a bill that would require doctors to provide medical care to babies who survive abortions. Last week, Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., introduced the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act that would require any healthcare practitioner present to seek to “preserve the life and health of the child,” including transporting the baby immediately to a hospital if it survived an abortion. Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., objected to Sasse’s call for unanimous consent on Monday, calling the bill a political stunt. Unanimous consent would have allowed the bill to pass the Senate if no one objected.

Sasse introduced the bill in response to comments by Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, a Democrat, in a radio interview endorsing a proposal that would have removed restrictions on third trimester abortions in the state. That bill failed in a subcommittee vote, but Sasse said that Northam’s comments amounted to “endorsing infanticide” and “betrayed the universal truth of human dignity and turned the stomachs of civilized people not just in this country but in every country on Earth.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., could still hold a roll call vote on the legislation at a later date.

This seems so inconceivable!!  But history shows that this is par for the course for those who think they are gods.  A day of reckoning will come, whether through the start of a revolution in our own country by those who think this insane, or better yet by the direct hand of God.  The Church seems too quiet on this matter.  Why is that?  This is not something for just Congress to determine, but by the will of the people.  And I'm certain that there are far more people appalled and outraged by this blatant disregard for human life.  But let's be honest, it has to come to this in order to wake us up.  Abortion, regardless of when it's done to the fetus/infant, is an abomination!  Why should God show us any mercy since we've seemingly become complacent in this genocide?  History proves us blind.  The writing WAS on the wall, so here we are allowed to wallow in our sin.  It is a dark time, and we must repent and prostate ourselves unto the Lord.  If He calls us to arms, then even better.  The full armour of God!

Psalm 11:5 The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates.

The fool has said in his heart 'there is no God' while the blood of the innocent cries out to Him for requital.  May the God of all the earth who always does right, yet in His wrath, remember mercy.

Yes, Democrats, please, PLEASE block this!   You need to continue to show everyone just how extreme you can be in support of a “woman’s right to choose to murder her baby.”

I understand we are at or approaching a total of 60 MILLION human beings murdered by abortion since Roe v. Wade. At this number, statistically I believe it is a dead certainty that at least one of those humans would have grown up to be a researcher who discovered a cure for a deadly disease. Or a Statesman who would have found a way to resolve some terrible world situation, like the Palestinian impasse.  Or a botanist who discovered a way increase crop yields to feed twice the world’s population. Or an evangelist who would have led some dictator to Christ, completely changing the history of one country from repression to freedom.

Or possibly every one of those 60 million would have grown up unloved, unwanted, uncared for, neglected.  To become criminals and drug abusers and other burdens to society, as abortion supporters allege.

Like I was before I came to Christ.

I believe that one day all will be revealed.
