Religious Liberty Task Force report alleges anti-Christian policies under Biden

The task force created to eradicate anti-Christian bias within the federal government issued a 200-page report on Thursday detailing various policies and practices that it said targeted Christian employees under the Biden administration. The report detailed findings by 17 federal agencies of the Biden administration pushing radical policies that infringed on Christians’ beliefs and free exercise, according to the Department of Justice.

The report lays out many ways the Biden administration’s actions devastated many Christian Americans, according to acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, who also serves as chairman of the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias. No American should fear punishment from the government on account of their faith, and the DOJ will continue to expose bad actors targeting Christians, he added. The report covered a wide range of federal policy issues, including conscience rights, fines against Christian universities, girls’ sports, and vaccine mandates.

What kinds of anti-Christian actions did the Biden administration allegedly take? The day after Biden’s inauguration, career DOJ employees pushed for the reversal of a Trump policy instructing employees to respect the right to express traditional views on marriage and gender. Biden’s DOJ mandated the adoption of gender ideology throughout the federal government, with the president pushing for policies to eliminate statutory protections for religious Americans, according to the DOJ.

Biden’s DOJ considered religious exemption requests related to gender ideology as harmful conduct that needed to be regulated, the DOJ cited. Prosecutors also advised White House leaders that federal employees voicing religious objections to receiving the COVID vaccine were insincere. Biden’s Civil Rights Division also published materials suggesting that only other faith groups, not Christians, could be victims of religious discrimination.

The Department of Education also marked the report’s release in a Thursday statement. The report detailed that Biden officials unfairly issued excessive fines against Christian universities, along with Christians being excluded from public programs, according to the department. Investigators uncovered the magnitude of the Biden administration’s gross iniquities and flagrant violations of religious liberty, according to Education Secretary Linda McMahon. Despite the rights of Americans to receive equal treatment under the law, the previous administration abused its authority to unfairly punish Christian families and schools, she added.

The latest report came weeks after the DOJ issued a separate report accusing Biden officials of weaponizing the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, known as the FACE Act, against peaceful pro-life protesters.
