Most Americans planning to watch coverage of the Trump-Biden presidential debate
The Associated Press and the National Opinion Research Center on Wednesday reported that most Americans think the first presidential debate could affect the 2024 election’s outcome. The majority of Americans say they’re likely to tune in on Thursday night to watch at least part of the debate between President Joe Biden and former President Trump’s debate, or the follow-up commentary on it. Even so, many Americans also feel dissatisfied with both candidates, the poll found.
Where can I watch the debate? CNN, which is hosting the debate at 9 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Thursday, will stream it on its website and several of its cable TV channels, according to a statement. The debate will last 90 minutes. Biden and Trump must remain standing at podiums the whole time and cannot have prewritten notes. There will be no live studio audience. Both candidates will use microphones that CNN can mute when it is not their turn to speak. CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will moderate the contest.
