President Biden’s doctor identifies “no new concerns”

President Joe Biden’s doctor deemed him to still be “fit for duty.” On Wednesday, Biden underwent his annual physical, and his doctor concluded that he “fully executes all his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations.”

But does Biden have any health issues? The doctor said that Biden’s “gait remains stiff” but reported that he exercised five days per week. It did say he was taking three common over-the-counter medications and three prescription medications for sleep apnea, spinal issues, seasonal allergies, and other health “considerations.”

Why is this important? Republicans have accused Biden of mental decline. Justice Department Special Counsel Robert Hur also concluded in a report published earlier this month that Biden would likely depict himself as a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” to jurors if the Justice Department brought him to trial over willfully retaining classified documents after his term as vice president.
