Pray Vote Stand summit begins in Washington
The fourth annual summit began Thursday evening with a time of prayer and worship and a speech from former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
Speakers from national ministries, nonprofit organizations, and universities planned to participate in the three-day event. Politicians including House Speaker Mike Johnson, former Trump Cabinet member Dr. Ben Carson, and the attorneys general of Alabama, Ohio, and Missouri were also also scheduled to speak. The Family Research Council and FRC Action sponsored the event, billing it as a time for Christians from around the country to gather and pray for the nation, Israel, and the upcoming election. The conference will end Sunday morning with a worship service.
What are some of the topics that will be discussed? Conference sessions will include talks about the importance of Biblical values over political expedience, education in America, the transgender identity crisis, and more. There will also be multiple breakout sessions about current political and cultural issues, according to the summit schedule.
