Poll: American voter confidence mixed on major political parties

More than 40 percent of the poll respondents were confident that the Democratic party would accurately count its votes. Meanwhile, more than 70 percent of Democrats, and about 30 percent of Republicans, believe that their primary votes will be counted correctly. The poll also found that about one-quarter of respondents have little or no confidence in either party’s ability to fairly select a presidential nominee. NORC research group, founded in 1941 as the National Research Center, is headquartered at the University of Chicago.

At the same time, 65 percent of respondents disapprove of how he is handling the economy. Biden has touted his economic policies, known as “Bidenomics,” as a focal point of his reelection campaign.
