Nancy Pelosi hospitalized during European visit
The former Speaker of the House Rep. Nancy Pelosi was being treated for an injury she received during a congressional engagement in Luxembourg, spokesman Ian Krager said Friday. He did not specify how the 84-year-old congresswoman was injured but said she has received excellent treatment from doctors.
What is she doing in Europe? Starting Dec. 12, Pelosi, D-Calif., traveled in a bipartisan Congressional delegation to Luxembourg and Belgium for two days of events in honoring the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge of World War II. She will continue working, but can no longer attend the memorial events scheduled through Saturday, Krager said. The congresswoman was honored to travel with the delegation and looked forward to returning home, he added.
Pelosi has continued to serve in Congress after stepping down from leadership of the House Democrats in November 2022.
