Mucho dinero coming to some fast-food managers

Taco Bell announced Thursday it would pay some of its store managers six figures starting later this year. The fast-food chain has had seven consecutive years of sales growth at its restaurants, and it has big plans for the future. “We want our restaurants to grow, and looking out for our managers is one of the main ways to accomplish that,” Ferril Onyett, a Taco Bell senior exec, told Fox Business.

Should I change careers? The company will test its $100,000 salary plan at some of the thousands of restaurants it owns but not at ones run by franchisees. It hasn’t said which or how many general managers will get the pay increase or when it will start. The average salary for a fast-food general manager in the United States is $45,600 per year, according to the Indeed jobs website.
