Memphis shooter kills four, wounds three
Police on Wednesday night arrested 19-year-old Ezekiel Kelly for the shootings. They said the rampage started early that morning when the suspect stole a car and then drove around Memphis shooting people. Police then told residents to shelter in place. They have not specified a motive or identified all of the victims.
Who is Ezekiel Kelly? Kelly was already charged as an adult with attempted first-degree murder as a 17-year-old in 2020. The judge sentenced him to three years, but he was released in March after serving just 11 months. According to police, Kelly said he wanted to harm people on Facebook Live, and on Wednesday he live-streamed a video of himself shooting people.
