Man pleads guilty to 2022 firebombing of Wisconsin pro-life office

Hridindu Roychowdhury pleaded guilty in federal court on Friday to attacking a pro-life office last May. He threw two Molotov cocktails into the Wisconsin Family Action office less than a week after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The attacker also spray-painted a message on the side of the building: “If abortions aren't safe, then you aren’t either.” He was arrested in March after police matched DNA from the crime scene to DNA from his discarded burrito wrapper. Roychowdhury faces up to 20 years on charges of damaging property with explosives.

Are abortion clinics being attacked, as well? Chance Brannon, 24, pleaded guilty on Thursday to charges of conspiracy and malicious destruction of property by firearms or explosives related to his attack on a southern California Planned Parenthood. He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years each on those charges. Then-active duty Marine Brannon threw a Molotov cocktail at the front door of a Costa Mesa Planned Parenthood last March. Brannon is scheduled for sentencing on April 15, 2024, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles.
