Lynch vows to accept FBI’s findings on Clinton
In response to suspicions the Justice Department could give special treatment to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Attorney General Loretta Lynch said she would go along with the eventual recommendations of an FBI-led investigation into the Democratic presidential candidate’s private email server. Lynch’s promise, which she’s expected to discuss today at a summit in Aspen, Colo, follows a private meeting she had with former President Bill Clinton aboard her plane on the tarmac at a Phoenix airport. The attorney general said the face-to-face was an impromptu social call. But critics said it was inappropriate given the Justice Department’s ongoing investigation into whether Hillary Clinton mishandled classified information while she was secretary of state.
