Israeli military claims to destroy Iran’s missile launchers

The Israeli military on Monday said its aircraft had destroyed a third of Iran’s surface-to-surface missile launchers. The air barrage also destroyed missile storage sites and killed some Iranian troops overnight, according to Israeli forces. Israel separately struck more than 100 unnamed military targets in Isfahan, Iran.
The Israel Defense Forces, or IDF, also killed four top Iranian intelligence officials in the capital city of Tehran yesterday, it said. Israel on Thursday began attacking Iranian nuclear and military capabilities, dubbed Operation Rising Lion.

Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency response agency on Monday said that Iran launched dozens of rockets into Israel, killing four elderly people in central Israel overnight. The agency previously said on Friday that its medics had pronounced 21 people dead and treated 13 in serious condition since the fighting began. Meanwhile, Israeli attacks on Iran have killed about 224 people since the fighting began, including many top military officials, according to the Associated Press.
What is the condition of Iran’s nuclear sites after being struck? The levels of radioactivity outside damaged Iranian nuclear plants remained at normal levels on Monday, according to International Atomic Energy Agency head Rafael Grossi. In a speech before the agency’s United Nations-affiliated board of governors, Grossi urged both Israel and Iran to come to a diplomatic agreement about nuclear proliferation. In the meantime, his agency plans to continue its regular inspections of Iranian nuclear sites if possible.
