Israel readies to expand operations in Gaza
Israeli leaders on Tuesday told several refugee camps in central Gaza to evacuate. Over the weekend, Israeli forces pockmarked the Gaza Strip with air strikes against the Hamas terrorist organization. The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry says the strikes killed dozens of Palestinians. It has also said the death toll among Palestinians throughout the months-long war has risen to nearly 21,000.
Are there any other fronts Israel is fighting on? Israeli forces have been fighting in urban areas of northern Gaza and the southern city of Khan Younis. Israel is fighting on several fronts outside of Gaza and the West Bank, including Lebanon and Syria, Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said. The Lebanon-based and Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah has launched airstrikes against Israel since Hamas’ Oct. 7 attacks against Israel. On Monday, Iran said that Israel killed a high-level Iranian general with a missile strike on Syria.
