ISIS claims two Baghdad bombings that killed dozens

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for two bombings in Baghdad that killed at least 24 people. The first, a car bomb, exploded outside a movie theater, killing mostly women and children, according to a government spokesman. The other, a suicide bombing at the entrance of the Al Taji military camp, killed four soldiers and six civilians. The attack comes as Iraqi forces step up their offensive against the Islamist militants. During fighting in Fallujah yesterday, U.S.-backed forces pushed into the city’s central area for the first time since launching the campaign to retake the city on May 22.
