IRS whistleblower claims DOJ interfered with investigation

Gary Shapley on Tuesday claimed to CBS News that the Justice Department repeatedly blocked off avenues of investigation concerning Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden. The younger Biden has tentatively reached a plea agreement with the DOJ for two tax misdemeanors. Shapley also claimed that the Justice Department failed to pursue more serious charges.

What were these other charges and avenues? Shapley claimed on Fox News’ Special Report that some unfiled felony charges could have included tax evasion and filing a false return. Shapley also said some blocked lines of investigation could potentially have connected the president to the case. The Justice Department denies restricting the investigation.
