Investigation opened into leak of Pentagon documents
Several federal agencies are investigating the leak of apparently classified documents to social media on Friday, the Department of Defense said Sunday. The documents appeared to contain sensitive information on the Ukraine war, China, and international allies such as Israel and South Korea. The documents also showed estimates of casualties of Russian and Ukrainian troops, but the materials contained distorted figures on both sides, according to a Ukrainian TV interview with Andriy Yusov, a spokesman for Ukraine’s military intelligence directorate. Russia has used Photoshop to great effect in the past, he said.
