FBI allows GOP committee to review Biden document

The FBI said Wednesday it would allow GOP-led House Oversight Committee members to view a redacted document with allegations against then-Vice President Joe Biden. Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., said the supposed scheme involved a $5 million payment for a policy outcome. The committee had threatened to hold the FBI director in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over the subpoenaed document.

Where did the document come from? The report is an FD 1023 that details an informant’s unverified criminal allegations. A whistleblower told Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, about the document, which he says the FBI did not investigate because of political bias.
