French attacker kills two, pledges allegiance to ISIS
French prosecutors say a man who stabbed two police officials in their home north of Paris pledged allegiance to Islamic State and had a long list of potential targets. Larossi Abballa stabbed police commander Jean-Baptiste Salvaing, 42, and took hostage his partner and their 3-year-old son. He eventually killed the woman, who was a police administrator, but left the child unharmed. Police officers killed Abballa when they stormed the apartment. He had a previous terrorism conviction for recruiting fighters for jihad in Pakistan. Abballa posted a 12-minute video of the attack on Facebook.
