First ASL Bible show for kids launching this summer

Minno Kids planned to expand its audience reach this summer and release its Bible story show, Laugh and Grow Bible for Kids, in American Sign Language, or ASL. This would be the first Bible series for kids created in ASL to the company’s knowledge, Minno CEO and co-founder Erick Goss said in a statement. Every child deserves to experience the gospel in the way they’re most comfortable, whether that’s in their native language or as a story before bed, he added. Minno began producing the Laugh and Grow Bible for Kids animated show based on its award-winning children's Bible resource of the same name. Minno aimed to be the most accessible platform for Christian children's media, according to the statement.

How is the company planning to be accessible? Minno planned to expand its Spanish content with a new English-Spanish preschool series, Guillermo & Will, led by Emmy-nominated puppeteer Donna Kimball. The outlet also planned to start including Portuguese language content on the platform, starting with several full-length episodes of the show. ASL versions of Laugh and Grow Bible for Kids will be released on Minno’s app on Aug. 8, with audio-only versions of episodes for bedtime, car trips, and screen-free time also expected to be released.
