FBI interviews Hillary Clinton
The FBI interviewed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton Saturday about her use of a private email server while she was secretary of state. “Secretary Clinton gave a voluntary interview this morning about her email arrangements while she was Secretary,” Clinton campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said in a statement. “She is pleased to have had the opportunity to assist the Department of Justice in bringing this review to a conclusion. Out of respect for the investigative process, she will not comment further on her interview.” CBS News reports that the interview represents one of the final steps in the investigation and a subsequent recommendation as to whether charges should be filed. A Clinton campaign aide told CBS that the interview lasted approximately three-and-a-half hours and took place at FBI headquarters in Washington.
