Egypt says new room found in The Great Pyramid of Giza

Egypt’s Tourism Ministry and Antiquities said Thursday it had discovered a new chamber on the north side of the Pyramid of Khufu, the largest of the three main pyramids at Giza, with modern scanning technology. The room appears roughly 30 feet long and six feet wide and hangs above the main entrance to the pyramid.

There are hidden rooms in the pyramids? Apparently so. In 2017, archeologists found a 98-foot-long room, also in the Pyramid of Khufu. In 2015, a collection of scientists began the Scan Pyramids project, which seeks to find new rooms and features within the pyramids. The Scan Pyramids project is credited with this most recent room discovery.
