Delta Air Lines Flight 4819 out of Minneapolis crashed on Monday while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport, according to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration. At least eight people were injured with one in critical condition, according to reporting by the Associated Press. Images showed the CRJ-900 flipped upside down on a snowy tarmac. The FAA confirmed that all 80 people on board the plane were evacuated.
Has Delta said anything? Delta posted a statement acknowledging the crash and plans to share any updates after the details are confirmed. The Canadian airport said the crash happened upon landing but offered no further details on how the plane flipped over. The National Transportation Safety Board will take point on the investigation, according to the FAA.
