Britain’s King Charles III diagnosed with cancer
Buckingham Palace announced the 75-year-old monarch’s condition Monday morning but did not identify the type of cancer or its stage. The cancer was found last month when the king underwent corrective surgery for an enlarged prostate. The palace confirmed that Charles began treatment for cancer this morning and that he will continue undertaking “state business and official paperwork,” but doctors have recommended he postpone public engagements. The king reportedly hopes his diagnosis will “assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.”
