Biden free of COVID-19 days after quitting reelection campaign
President Joe Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, on Tuesday said the commander-in-chief’s COVID-19 symptoms had resolved, according to a letter provided by the White House. Biden on Sunday notified the public via social media that he was no longer running for reelection. He is scheduled to deliver a speech to the nation from the Oval Office at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday, according to a separate statement.
What’s going on with the presidential election right now? Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic Party’s nomination. In the 24 hours following Biden’s endorsement, Harris’ campaign said she raked in $81 million in donations. She also has received the endorsements of many high-ranking Democratic lawmakers and state governors.
