Biden fires EEOC official who emphasized religious liberty

As general counsel for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Sharon Fast Gustafson worked to oppose religious discrimination in the workplace and to protect religious entities in accordance with U.S. law. President Joe Biden fired her on Friday with two years remaining in her term. The administration asked for her resignation on March 2, and she refused to resign.

Was her removal normal? In a statement, EEOC commissioner Andrea Lucas called the firing “deeply troubling” and “a break from long-established norms respected by presidents of both parties.” Upon Gustafson’s 2018 nomination by President Donald Trump, LGBT groups had expressed concern that she wasn’t committed to their agenda.

Lies - there might have been one or two small ones but to be honest I noticed Trump telling things the way he saw them without all the political spinning and non-answers like so many politicians.  I find the notion that Trump is a liar to be a lie.

Mean spirited:  I would rather have a fighter in office than a weak cowardly person who goes along with all the evil, pretending he is fighting it, while all along going along with it.  If you aren’t angry by all the leftists corruption and dishonesty that is happening, then I would say you are naive at best and at worst part of the evil.

Slander:  most politicians slander some individuals. Was Trump worse than any other? I don’t see how he was for he didn’t lie but forthrightly told the truth, sometimes to his own detriment!

"Packing his administration with foxes guarding the henhouse (like longstanding environmental protections)."

Trump did find people that would implement his agenda which I see as admirable. Obama had all kinds of environmental laws pushed which Trump was wise to disregard. All this Climate Change propaganda is lies if you know anything about the science related to  it. Trump was exactly right in freeing up business from all the environmental regulations. Many of Trump’s cabinet members and others were Christians who led wisely and effectively (DeVos, Pence, Pompeo, Barr, Carson, Conway, etc.).

"Selective 'pro-life' as he was the first president in decades to execute prisoners on death row."

By executing prisoners on death row, he showed how pro-life he was. The whole point Romans 13:3-4 is that government holds the sword for punishment, where the most extreme is capital punishment.

3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

“stripped clean air protections that would be saving hundreds of thousands of lives”

You assume that humans are so fragile that they need strict environmental laws on air quality. If we look at the overall air quality, it improved while Trump was president so you are speaking lies.

Trump was clearly the better choice and we are required to vote for the better person who will benefit the Christian cause so we can live “quiet lives” and continue the work of the church. At the time of the early Church, all they could do politically was pray for their leaders, where today we are allowed to vote so if we are commanded to pray for our leaders, then it follows that we should vote for the best candidate who will benefit the Christian cause.

OldMike

Allen Johnson, while there are quite a few issues you and I would disagree on, your last sentence is something EVERY ONE OF US SHOULD TAKE TO HEART:

"Church, do not depend on political leaders to do our heavy lifting while we sit back in our cushy pews."

Thank you, Sir, for reminding us!

This is another example of how Biden is attacking Christian values. He wants to see homosexual and transgender rights usurping Religious Rights. For the life of me, I don't understand how Christians could NOT support Trump. Notice how Biden fired the woman that Trump had installed who was FOR Religious Rights!
